Lakehouse

Here are a few pics my sister just got to me. These are from a month or so ago. I just thought they were cute!

We're so excited to have a new lakehouse in the family! Sheila and Neal are building a lakehouse at Lake Bridgeport. It's going to be finished in just a few weeks. We took the boat and jet ski out on Friday. This was Cohen's first lake outing. As you can see, we had to pull out the paci. I don't like him to have it except when it's naptime or bedtime but you do what you gotta do sometimes. He wasn't a big fan of the life jacket. We're going to have to get hime one that fits a little better.

It was a long day so he had to cuddle up with Aunt Sheila and get a nap.

Catch Up!

Sorry for the delay.... so you ask what has been happening lately? WORK!!!! I worked nearly 80 hours last week. Since I do love my job, it was fun. But what wasn't fun was not getting to see Chad and Cohen. Well, we've made it through and I'm back in the mommy saddle again. So, we went for our 9 month check-up. Cohen weighed in at 20 lbs. 10 oz (50th percentile), 28 3/4 inches long (75th percentile, once again he doesn't look anything like me, hence his tallness), and his head is still in the 90th percentile!! He's actually pretty skinny around the middle. It's that big ole' head that knocks him up to the 50th percentile in weight! I have included some pics of him getting his shots. Chad went with us to the pediatrician for the first time, so I finally got some pictures of the shot process because he was there to help the nurses hold Cohen down.

Cohen has a girlfriend!!

Ok, well maybe she's not the romantic kind of girlfriend, but she's definitely a girl and she's definitely a friend. Look how much fun they have together. It is sooooo cute! If you don't remember, Cohen and Addison were born exactly 1 week apart (and her parents and us were married exactly 1 week apart!)

This is them together just a few months ago. I can't believe how much they have grown.

Addison is "Standin by her Man." It would crack us up when she would hold onto him like this.

Mother's Day #1!!

Yesterday was the best Mother's Day I've ever had... well, maybe it was the only Mother's Day I've ever had. Cohen and Chad took me to the Rangers game (it was Cohen's first.)

Why is he so happy in the picture with Dad and so serious in the one with me? I like to think it's because I act like a big goofball behind the camera in order to get him to smile, and dad just snaps the picture. It must be a guy thing...

When we got home from the game, I walked in to find this. Cohen left me a bouquet of flowers and made a little sketch of his own hands. Well, maybe he had some help!

Fun on Fridays!

For the past couple of Fridays we have had family fun night! 2 weeks ago we went on our first family picnic to the park in our neighborhood. Cohen LOVES to be outside, so of course he was happy the entire time. He also ate his first strawberry that night. I wish I had a picture of that face! By the look on his face you would have thought that he just ate the worst thing he ever tasted, but he kept going back for more!

Last Friday night we took Cohen to his first Mavs game! They were great seats (thanks Neal for the free tickets!) He was in awe the entire game. He couldn't quite take it all in....

If you'll notice he's staring very seriously in every picture. He couldn't take his eyes off the lights and the jumbotron!

Photo Shoot!

About a month ago we had a little photo shoot with Cohen. They were his 6 month pictures... he is now 7 1/2 months old. I know, I'm a little behind.

FYI... Cohen started saying his first word last week. Guess what it is.... MAMA!! I'm not sure he knows exactly what it means. But when he wants anything he says it. If he's hungry... mama, if he's sleepy...mama, if he wants to be held... mama. I'll try to get it on video and post it.

Sunday was my dad's 51st birthday...yes, Cohen has young grandparents. Cohen decided to make a little something for Papa for his birthday. No, I do not usually let him play with his food like this, but I thought that in celebration of Papa's birthday I would let him. Here is what he created....
